Holocaust Musuem Shooting

The United State Holocaust Museum located in Washington DC was the site of a recent shooting. At this time they are saying at least two people have been shot. An elderly man walked into the Holocaust Museum, one of the capital’s most-visited sites, shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday and opened fire with a shoulder weapon or pistol, wounding a security guard before being shot and disabled himself, officials said that were on the scene. They have now said that the man that did the shooting is in his late 80s and has had issues with Jews in the past. The museum was opened in 1993, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is situated near the National Mall and the Potomac River. Since its dedication, it has had nearly 30 million visitors, including more than 8 million school children and 85 heads of state, the museum has stated on their web site. President Barack Obama has been quoted to say that he is sadden by this incident and is monitoring the situation as it develops. It is truly sad that we have people that have so much hatred in their hearts and try to hurt other innocent people. The world is turning in to a place where you have to be careful were you go now a days. It is hard to even try and plan a vacation with out worrying if you will be safe at your destination and be able to enjoy yourself. Sometimes i wish we were back in simpler times but those days are gone for good.
